   My site host suggested WP as a method to create my own site, their templates basically stink. I tried to download 2.8 last night to my own puter but it did not seem to work. I probably did something wrong. So here are a few simple questions:
   1. Can I create the site then upload it to host?
   2. It is not a blog site but for an educational center, should I be looking at something else instead of WP? I am not a developer and don't know code.
   3. If so, WHAT? The target look will be tasteful/sophisticated, more informational and a few links.
   4. Thank you in advance for your help!!!

   1. Yes, but you will need to set up a development environment on your local machine. If you do not already have one, this is a simple, free, cross-platform solution: http://www.apachefriends.org/en/xampp.html

   Also, when you go to launch the site you will want to "Export" your data from the WordPress Administration Panels and then "Import" it onto your production server. DO NOT export/import the database alone.

   2. Perhaps, WordPress can handle this kind of a set up rather easily. But there will most definitely be a learning curve. Please note that said curve will be present in any dynamic system that you set up especially if you are not used to reading writing code (php). I assume that you are skilled in html css? If so, you should be alright... If you do most of your web production with a WYSIWYG, Wordpress may not be the best solution for you.

   3. Drupal, Joomla are other popular solutions.

   Dear sir, I need a help.

   I’m using Androida theme for my website.. Before, i’m using WP 2.7 n it’s work very well.. But after i’m upgrade to WP 2.8, the frontpage had a problem. what should I do?

   The Sliding Panel Setting under the Androida option not show the category. Can you mail me privately? I’m really hope someone can help me as soon as possible. I didn't know much about wordpress.
