   Hi wordpressers,

   I had a blog, www.howdydubai.com. Today I reeived a message to upgrade to wordpress 2.8. The worst thing that I did was I tried to upgrade automatically without backing up my blog.

   Now I get this message when I try to visit my site:

   Fatal error: Class 'Translations' not found in /webroot/i/n/inves022/dubai/www/wp-includes/l10n.php on line 408

   The root directory in my hosting server for this site is /webroot/i/n/inves022/dubai/

   I need to get this site up asap, is there any way I can get back my data, so that I can reinstall wordpress and get my site back?

   Pls help.

   I am also getting the same error. Please help. link here http://www.gujaratguide.in

   I even tried deactivating all the plugin's but it didn't resolved the issue.

   Please help as early as possible.

   I also got screwed from the latest update. I now can no longer do new posts. I didn't lose any data, thankfully, but I go to new post and in the main body section I start typing and my words don't show up in IE, and in Firefox I can't even click into the main content area box to type in my post.

   It's not an issue with my theme, because my other wp blog does the same thing.

   Can anyone please help on this!

   issue is on this php page in actual post 'content' area. title, tags, and other areas all work fine.

   /wp-admin/post-new.php

   My issue is slightly different, but probably related -- entire site -- www.sonomatrails.org, including admin is blank. The files are there, but nothing is displaying.

   I found a solution. First I backed up the entire database. Then I deleted the entire wordpress application. Reinstalled and reloaded the backup. Now it's working for me.

   its working because you uploaded a directory and files within that previously wasnt there:

   wp-includes/po

   without that directory and the files within, you get this error:

   Fatal error: Class 'Translations' not found in ....

   Help please please please! My entire site has an error message, including my wordpress log-in page. I tried to manually upgrade to 2.8.4 and now receive this error message:
   Fatal error: Class 'Translations' not found in /data/14/1/93/141/1256956/user/1340882/htdocs/wineblog/wp-includes/l10n.php on line 407

   Is there a fix? I am so worried that I just lost two years of data!
   Help, please!

   writeforwine,

   you need to delete your old files before uploading the new files.

   the error you see is a direct result of not having done that.
