   I only use third party applications to post to WordPress.
   Mars edit on the Mac - Windows Live Writer on PC - Blog Press on the iPhone.

   Every time I create a new post from these applications they don't post immediately. They are set to post at 7:01 the day I submitted them to wordpress.

   How do I get them to post immediately with these applications?

   Ok - Figured it out.
   The Time zone was set incorrectly on the server.
   The posting machines were ahead of the server. This caused the posts to not be displayed until the server caught up to the posting date and time.
