    the website is: www.andyswan.com

Ditto here. Sync issues with wordpress 2.8 - Import comments does not show any progress. Many posts are not showing any comments. Why doesn't Disqus make any statement on compatibility with Wordpress 2.8?

I am having a problem with 2.8 as well. My disqus folder disappeared from my plugin folder after I upgraded. My previous comments are displaying, but I am hoping to find out if it is compatible before I re-install the plugin. Has anyone else had this problem? So the widget is still displaying old comments, but the commenting submissions have reverted to wordpress.

Yea don't work on my 2.8 either, and now I keep getting messages to upgrade to 2.8.1. If half these plug-ins don't work for 2.8 yet, how long will it be before they catch up to 2.8.1?? I guess this is why most the big sites I see that use WP are still using 2.7.1, and I may soon downgrade and follow in suite.

    Same here.

    WordPress v. 2.8.4 // Disqus Plug-in v. 2.11.4349
Installed Disqus over the weekend. All of my previous comments have disappeared.

Here's what it says in the advanced settings: "Import status: Done.
Finished: 19 minutes ago" There were very few comments, in the range
    of 20 or so.

(giannii - I emailed help@disqus last night with this query)

I *really love* Disqus on my Tumblr. Look forward to getting this resolved on this site.

I found that import works on posts that I load after installing the plugin. After I load them, it imports the comments from that page if I press import, but non of the other comments. If I then go to another post that I know has comments on it, and then hit import it does the same thing. I am not sure why it is not importing all the comments for my blog but at least I was able to sync up my most recent. :-/

I just installed this plugin, did a comment import, and it freaking blew away all my site's comments. I see some of them are flagged as deleted inside the disqus panel, along with a lot of spam. I'm certainly not going through them all and re-approve only the valid ones and not the spam.

    Very very disappointed and upset.

Hopefully I can uninstill this hunk of crap and restore from DB to get my user's comments back.

Well some good news. At least deactivating the plugin restored my comments. Thankfully the plugin doesn't delete the comments from your DB when you enable this thing.

I must say, even though some here say it's compatible with 2.8, not having it listed as such in the wordpress directory isn't a comforting feeling.

    @giannii:
I'm having the same issues as been described here, the import functions doesn't work properly in 2.8.4. I just mailed you the specifics.

seems like it requires you to allow php.ini to accept large file imports for sites with tons of comments.
having similar issues with 2.8.4 and the import (deacivated plugin for now) @giannii, I will email if the php.ini doesn't solve it.
thanks for keeping an eye out for issues.

Got the same problem as everyone else it seems. Can't import comments do disqus with WP 2.8.4. I've emailed help@disqus.com my information.

Hoping this plugin will be updated/working properly soon.

I am having the same problem - I probably have a few hundred comments in the system, the first 20 or so imported and then nothing. I let it sit overnight and it didn't get any further.

I will check and see if modifying the php.ini workis.

When I initiate an install of DISQUS Comments (FYI) for WordPress as per the instructions at http://disqus.com/comments/wordpress/workbench/ I get the following warning message:

Warning: This plugin has not been tested with your current version of WordPress.

The FYI also states that it’s Compatible up to: 2.7 (I’m running WordPress 2.8.4).

This doesn’t exactly inspire confidence! Some of the response here indicate that it (Version: 2.11.4349) is in fact compatible with WP 2.8.x, so why hasn’t it been tested and verified yet?
