The widget title appears in a separate box from the relevant links in the sidebar; see the blogroll and recent posts. Before the upgrade to WP 2.8, it looked like the Twitter box - one box with the title just above the links. The last widget box only shows the upper edge now...

I have noticed that the recent posts widget has changed the ID of the containing DIV.
Before the DIV had the ID 'recent-posts' but now it is 'recent-posts-2'.
If you used this ID for formatting then a quick change to the CSS should solve the problem.
