How do I add this Javascript “featured content” into my theme?

    Ello folks, I’m new to CSS, PHP, and completely inept at Javascript.

    I’m building a theme from scratch at my website, DaveUrsillo.com. I want to integrate this Javascript scrolling “Featured Content” portion of the Style Isle theme HERE.

    But when I look at the Style Isle theme, between the CSS, PHP and Java I cannot figure out how to integrate that portion into my theme. Could someone please help break down what I’d need to do?
