• I want my blog to show as normal, in reverse chronological order (newest post first), but the archive to show posts in chronological order. So when you go to “2006” you see all the posts from oldest first, etc.

There are a couple of queries about this but no one has answered. I guess this is impossible then?

ps: I find it odd that this is asked for so little…. many people have travel blogs, project blogs, etc., where they want those subscribed to see the standard way, but new people to be able to see from the oldest post first…

  • Have you tried using query_posts($query_string . '&order=ASC'); before your loop?

Thanks for getting back to me. Thing is, I want the main blog itself to run normally, (newest post first). BUT, I want the archive reversed, to run with the oldest post first. On top of that, in a year, there may be 60 posts, so the ‘posts_nav_link’ will not work correctly on the archive posts…

I am willing to consider any way to do this….
