After an upgrade to version 2.8 (from 2.7), I just got white screens at the admin page and the blog itself.
It doesn't seem to be a plugin problem, because I renamed the plugin folder without any change. I also put back the 2.7 version, the deactivating all plugins and then installing the 2.8 version.
Still: No result.
What could it be? It worked perfectly fine before my upgrade to 2.8. Now I am running 2.7.1 (which is also running fine).
Any ideas?
Greets,
Marc
Seems most problems like this have been related to plugins. Might make sure all plugins are updated, then try the upgrade again.

I already did. Same result. I also delete all plugins... still no result.

I just solved the problem.
I used the theme "Evening sun". It doesn't seem to work with version 2.8 :(
Nice work and thanks for the report.

How do you disable a theme? I tried deleting the themes I had, but it hasn't helped. I can't access my admin panel, so it's all done through http://ftp...

I had this same problem. Solution is easy: backup your site using FTP, then delete everything except wp-config.php then put again wp 2.8 upgrade. Everything should be fine and then you can enable your themes and plugins. be careful and enable plugins one by one then find this one which made conflict.
