   can someone make an already modified version availabel for wpmu? or can it be hacked/patched to be wpmu ready out of the box?

   I am looking for the same. There was a patch on http://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/732 for an older version (both plugin and WPMU) but that is surely not working anymore...

   The best I can tell you is that WPMU compatibility is near the top of my to-do list on the plugin. Previously, this plugin was part of my day job. However, I've changed jobs recently, and this has been pushed back to "side project" status. The list of things to fix and add to the plugin has been growing in recent weeks, so I'm looking for some time in the next couple of weeks to hack it all out.
