Hey guys,
Anyone know of a good newsletter plugin for Wordpress (2.7.1) that isn't Mailpress? Some nasty conflicts going on with that, plus [it's] massively bloated I hear.

Subscribe2 will let you send an email to your subscribers. I just wish it would let you turn off the scheduled emails. I guess you could set it not to include pages, and exclude all of your categories, but that seems like the long way around.
PHPList is a good email list manager, and there is a plugin for Wordpress so that when people register for your blog they can be automatically subscribed to PHPList at the same time.

Thanks John,
I'll check out PHPList now.

http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/subscribe2/ < great newsletter plugin that actually works properly!
Finally!

Well, yeah but it's different. Subscribe2 emails your blog posts and/or pages on a scheduled basis. PHPList sends an email that you compose whenever you want it to. It doesn't have to be something that's posted on your blog. Subscribe2 also doesn't have the tracking info that PHPList has (like how many people opened the message, how many people clicked a given link in the message, etc.).
Would be good if PHPList had double opt-in - which is what many isps are insisting on when it comes to emailing the subscribers.
I have tried out every newsletter plugin on WP and none really work well.
I need double opt-in and the ability to send newsletter emails from my list with a 10+ second delay between each email so I don't upset my web host.
Re Subscribe2:

Wouldn't that mean everyone gets sent a blank email?
