Digital Photos Not Uploading

    I get the following message when trying to upload digital camera photos downloaded to my computer .

    Fatal error: Out of memory (allocated 44826624) (tried to allocate 13056 bytes) in /home/captb/public_html/philippinehomestaytravel.com/wp-admin/includes/image.php on line 147

    I am running a Linux OS ( Ubuntu ) so i am not sure if that is a part of the problem . The camera is a Canon A590 and the softwear disk would not install the exec. command function though i have no problem uploading the photos from the camera to my desktop .

    The problem only exists with the digital images as i can download from Flickr , Photobucket , etc . and have no problem inserting into WP image gallery .

    Any ideas appreciated !

    How big are these images? It could be that you’re trying to upload images that are simply too large and the server is timing out (many servers limit the time that any one php script is allowed to run). Try reducing the image size and see if that helps.
