Nature theme 4 column theme – front page one long narrow column – HELP!

    I am new to this blog world.

    I have been using the Nature theme and am having trouble. I don’t know what happened – but front page of this theme should be 4 columns and it’s lining up in one long skinny column on the right.

    I have unloaded and reload the theme multiple times – I’ve downloaded it from another source. Nothing is making it work right.

    I’ve also tried to overwrite the home php template multiple times with no success.

    I’ve hunted and hunted for other themes and I really like the look of this one.

    I’ve disabled all the plug ins.

    This theme has an “editor” section and I’m wondering if something accidently happened when I was looking at the page – I didn’t knowingly touch anything – it was clearly beyond me – but I can’t think of what else might have happened.

    I hope someone can help me – this is really driving me mad!

    Looks like there’s something seriously wrong in the theme’s template files. Perhaps you could download a fresh copy of the theme and re-install it?

    I did that – multiple times.
    I loaded – unloaded. Emptied Caches – Emptied Trashes…

    The theme designer suggested all of the following which I did more than once to make sure I wasn’t doing something wrong.

    None of it helped and they had no further suggestions.

    So I’m stuck.

    Not sure what else to suggest. I did notice that you’ve now switched themes which, under the circumstances, was probably the the only really successful option.

    Well, the Nature theme works on wordpress org and at my theme browser….

    I know Milo there must be something I’m missing…
    If it were the theme – then other people would be having this trouble.

    Is there a special way to delete that I’m missing?

    I have made sure that it was off actually off WordPress before I’ve reloaded the new files.
    I’ve downloaded it at least three times from the site milo suggested.
    I’ve deleted it from the wp-contents folder each time, both the zip and the folder.
    I’ve emptied my caches each time
    I’ve emptied my trash before downloading it to be sure I’m not picking up the problem folder.

    I’m working on mac. Not sure if that matters. Tonight I might try deleting it again and reloading it on my husband’s computer.

    I really love this theme and have been hunting for something else because nothing is working, but I can’t find anything that I like nearly as much!

    OK – A few more pieces of information.

    I had the idea this evening to upload Nature to my other blog – it worked perfectly. No trouble at all.

    Then I had the idea to go through each of the theme files under editor – I cut and pasted each and every one from my site to http://www.purenaturaldiva.com. No change.

    I also noticed on purenatural there was a new version available… so I hit the upgrade automatically link and received the following error:

    Incompatible archive: PCLZIP_ERR_BAD_FORMAT (-10) : Unable to find End of Central Dir Record signature

    Installation Failed

    I got it working.

    Had to reload wordpress. I lost all my settings, tags and such… but it’s working and I’ll finally sleep tonight.
