htaccess keep changing by itself causing error 500, Please help!

    Can somebody please tell me why the htaccess file could be changing by itself and for random reasons. Sometime when I send a comment or sometimes when I try to create a new post or just going to the site. Can this be a problem on my hosting server or maybe something on a plugin (Do you know about a plugin that cause error 500?). My error logs do not tell

    /home/newyor8/public_html/mysite.com/.htaccess: RewriteEngine must be On or Off, referer: http://www.nylatinomag.com/wp-admin/post-new.php?type=Article

    OR
    /home/newyor8/public_html/mysite.com/.htaccess: RewriteCond: bad flag delimiters

    I would appreciate any suggestions. THANKS!

    Try deactivating all plugins first. Then activate them one by one but run the blog for a short while after each individual re-activation to confirm whether the last plugin activated is causing the problem.

    Update .htaccess file. Just use default .htaccess file for WP.
