I'm trying to import an exported XML file from Wordpress 2.3.1 into 2.7.1. The file is 202 KB and the max file upload size i 2MB. When I upload the XML file all I get is a message saying: "Are you sure you want to do this?" and a link leading back to the upload page.
I've found a lot of pages in the forum mentioning the "Are you sure" thing but all of them seem to be related to importing files larger then the max filesize so I'm a bit confused about this error... Anyone got any solutions?

And after a day of searching and reinstalling wp and stuff i solved the problem doing a very simple thing: I changed the theme to the clasic one and I succeeded in importing the xml file. It seems that it was some sort of conflict with that theme, because after that I switched back the theme and it was all ok.

Posted 2 months ago #I had to increase the max filesize for uploads in the php.ini file. I was getting the same message and switching themes didn't help. The problem was simply that the import filesize was too large.
