I have a client who is in the party promotion business. She uses Wordpress to publish her next, upcoming, and past events. Many of her events are the same exact venue with the same post information with only the date changing. Cutting and pasting the html from one post the next is tedious and a little too much to ask for this client. I would like to add a "Copy" post function to the "bulk actions" drop down in Edit Posts.
Does anyone know of a way that I could easily create a function or plugin that would duplicate a post?
Thank you for your time,
Joe

Thanks Michael! That template plugin would work great except it is missing an option to lock in custom fields set on the post I want to make a template of.
I see the template files is edit-post-template-page.php. Does anyone know what lines of code I would need to add to that page to add the custom field?
Thank you.

Thanks again Michael but I'm not sure what to do with that.. I see others were looking to add the custom fields to the post-template plugin in another post http://wordpress.org/support/topic/230886 but there weren't any responses... uggghhhh so close what I needed yet just not right!
So you installed and activated both plugins?

I did but there are so many settings in the custom-field-template I am really not sure where to start with that.
