• Hello,

When you use wordpress, not as a “blog” but as a relative static site (with pages), are there any articles around there, how to optimze such a site for search engines (SEO)?

    Couldn’t find them..

  • The principles are identical to optimizing any website for SEO. Its all in determining the keywords you are optimizing a page/site for, and adding those phrases in appropriate places in the content on the pages.

In terms of page title (a very important SEO element), a good starting place is install a plugin like All in One SEO Pack (there are other similar ones too). They do 80% of the work by default, from their default configurations. For both blogs and static sites. You have control over title, meta-descrip and meta-keywords on every page.

You still need to choose appropriate keyword phrases and work them into your text. Google for SEO principles or basics, WordPress or otherwise. Same principles.

    Thank you…

    I will do so.

So, no special actions to be taken for a wp with pages site.
That’s good, I can just follow all normal guidelines..
