Can’t login to admin area when using php5

I’ve upgraded my server so that I can choose php4 or php 5 for each site individually.

If I select php5 and do a new install via fantastico I am unable to log into the admin area. or even request my password

when i switch to php4 everything works as normal

Anyone have any idea why this may be??
