[resolved] Sidebar Photoblog Problem (3 posts)

    Hi All,

Great site. Thanks for all the valuable information and guidance you share with us blog challenged newbies.

I searched for my particular problem before posting and didn't find any specific answers for my glitch.

I installed Sidebar Photoblog and have uploaded 21 photos into it. Three photos showing in the sidebar as expected.

When I click on the "More Photos" link in the sidebar, I am redirected to a page with the title "Oooops...Not found !" and a comment of "Don't loose heart just yet !" I don't recall setting up that page. (Sorry, no relation to Ronald Reagan.)

I would greatly appreciate some advise to resolve this "link to no where" issue. I have the "Photos" page that the plugin created. Is the link supposed to redirect to the "Photos" page? Personally, I would like it to redirect to the "Photos" page.

To observe my glitch, please see "http//jewelryboxart.com."

    Again, thanks for the assistance.

    Hello All,

Just an update before I close out this thread.

After days of searching, I finally figured out where my glitch was.

In the Dashboard, under Appearance, select widgets, then Sidebar Photoblog: Photoblog. Halfway down in the menu is a "More link (Automatically generated. Usually don't change it)" category, with an input box for a link. The automated feature created my "link to nowhere." I changed the existing link and redirected it to my "Photos" page URL. Select "Done," then "Save changes" and my problem was corrected.

Boy-o-boy! I searched for a week before I found this SIMPLE fix. I am not a computer Guru. I AM tenacious and can be resourceful on my own.

I am disappointed that no one here took the time to respond, AT ALL, to say hello, and even make a wrong suggestion.

I am a novice. I revel in daring to step into the world wide web with my own site. Is it difficult? Maybe not for the computer pros, but I expect to have problems and questions. It's all part of the learning curve. Should I expect to be ignored in the future when I need a little advice?

    Take care.

    Hi Tommy,
    Blog-challenged newbie here.

Since you seem to have made yourself an expert in Sidebar photoblog (nice work), I was hoping you could help me as well.
I'm having some problems just getting my photos INTO the sidebar. They keep coming up as regular posts with the category tag "Sidebar Photoblog." Could you tell me what I'm doing wrong? Or could you provide a more detailed step-by-step uploading guide?
I think I'm missing something obvious.

    Thanks in advance!
