Help an idiot (newbie). I am building a website for free information. http://sharefreehelp.com I have done ok with learning my way around EXCEPT, I cannot find a way to have a registration or login page popup when someone comes to the site. I've read until my head hurts and find plugins to require additional information, generate or chose passwords, etc.
Isn't there an easy way to cause a registration or login page to popup when someone visits? I am only looking to get a first name and email at this time.
Please help.
Thanks to all.

Ok, I decided I had better say that I am hosted by godaddy and have the latest wp version (I think). I also have installed register plus but can't find any controls to do what I seek.
Thanks again.

Are you literally looking for a popup login/registration window that pops up on top of your site?

Asechrest:
Thanks for your reply. Yes, all of the sites I visit that have 'FREE' information, videos, etc. require registration. A popup asking for first name and email appear. It seems simple and I have seen it many times but haven't figured out how to do it in WP.
I expect others (belgo555879) are struggling with the same issue.
Any help would be sincerely appreciated.

I am looking for something similar. I want a lightbox/thickbox login, so that it pops up over my screen when you hit login. Any plugins for that? I have looked everywhere!

Here's what you need. You can put your HTML opt-in in the box.
