• I’ve been trying to dig around the Internet for a solution to what I thought was a simple problem. On my site, users can append #reply and #commentlist to the URL for posts/pages which have at least one comment, and the page will automatically scroll down to the appropriate section; however, these links don’t work if there are no comments.

I’ve checked the source code for the posts/pages with no comments, and there *is* an id reference for both “reply” and “commentlist”, but the links to scroll to those points just won’t work.

If you visit my site (http://rk.md) and view a post which has comments, you’ll see that by appending #reply and #commentlist to the URL will work, but a post which doesn’t have comments will fail to scroll.

Is there some glaring oversight on my part?
