Ok, I was working on my CSS, yes I know keep a back up etc. But I am completely up a creek without a paddle right now.

I viewed my css via ftp, something happened, and now the CSS is 0 bites. I still have the site on screen, but I don't know how to get the CSS from it since whatever was cached is now no longer cached but a big fat 0.

I've spent the best part a day on the site and I don't want to lose my work and start again.

So as I say, in my windows temp dir the css is a 0byte file, the ftp css is also now a 0byte file but the page is still on my screen.

Is there anyway I can retrieve my CSS?

    Please advise - thanks.

What is the URL to your site, Jinsan?

it's http://reviews.sekhu.net I was working on the CSS when it happened it's completely blank now, I know this because the CSS is 0bytes.

I still have the site on my screen but I haven't budged an inch as doing so will probably wipe it. So....I tried to save the webpage and all I got were bits and pieces but no CSS.

    I'm screwed aren't I?

Jinsan, I just used FF's Dev toolbar to "look" at the CSS for the link you provided. There's nothing there - this is all that shows:

    <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//IETF//DTD HTML 2.0//EN">
    <HTML><HEAD>
    <TITLE>404 Not Found</TITLE>
    </HEAD><BODY>
    <H1>Not Found</H1>
The requested URL /wp-content/themes/beehive/style.css was not found on this server.<P>
    <P>Additionally, a 404 Not Found
error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
    <HR>
    <ADDRESS>Apache/1.3.33 Server at reviews.sekhu.net Port 80</ADDRESS>
    </BODY></HTML>

The only possibility right now would be to check with your host on the off chance they happened to have backed up the server before you had the problem....

    Good luck.... WHAT a bummer!

I have a temporary Internet file from close to two hours ago which isn't as close as I want, because that's 2 horus work missing, but at least it's less than two days, which would probably kill me.

I typically have FF on not to sttore temp files...thank my lucky bleedin stars.

Moose if you think you can manage a Moses like miracle, let me know. For now I'll have to work with what I have. Such a headache

All computers without exception save every previous version of the same file somewhere. Depending on your ftp client a view all type command might recover it.
