chmod 666 on the .htaccess
file in wordpress root
set permalinks
chmod back to 644
It’s not clear what your problem is. Do you mean you don’t see a link that says “permalink” or do you mean you can’t set it in the admin section? The first problem could be just because your theme doesn’t show permalinks by default. The second problem could be because you’re looking in the wrong place. Please tell us a bit more about your problem.
Thanks both. I’ve found the problem which seems to be due to the location of the site:
http://www.coastphoto.com/whistlerweddinginfo/dev (the permalinks work here)
but I want it to work when you go to:
http://www.whistlerweddinginfo.com/dev/
Not sure if I need to have the site location moved on the server or if there’s a custom permalink that will do it. I tried just cutting out the ‘coastphoto’ part but it wouldn’t work.
Thanks.
