Removing Page Date and Info

    I am using WordPress as a very simple website, and I’m only going to have one page with basic information on it.
    However, at the top right of the page I created it says:

    May 15, 2009
    About (the page name)
    Filed under: Uncategorized — @ 5:58 pm Edit This

    How do I get rid of all of that>?

    more than likely that is coming from the theme file
    /wp-content/themes/{themename}/index.php

    make a copy of that file before changing anything. The backup copy is so if you mess the file up you can revert to a working copy.

    Edit that file looking for code referencing date, title, and the words Filed under Remove that code.
