2.7.1 upgrade stuck at “unpacking the core update” forever. Nothing happens.

    Can anyone help me get past this issue? Auto-upgrade just stays on “unpacking the core update” forever and will not do anything..

    I am with AxiHost which is on the list of compatible hosts, but I’m having the same problem. It stalls at unpacking 2.8.5. All my plugins are automatically installing upgrades with no problem. Weird!

    I wasn’t having this problem. Now all of a sudden plugins get stuck at the unpacking phase and there is NO error msg! Frustrating! Also happens when I UPLOAD the plugin via the dashboard! HELP!

    I have the same problem – stalling in plugin update. Stalling in changing pages. Stalling in automatic upgrade.

    Has manually upgraded the to from 2.8.4 to 2.9.1 but now it stalling at updating database. I have no idea what is going wrong.

    Any ideas will be most welcome!
