so, figured I'd start a new site today, and run the newest WP package.
All seemed normal during the FTP-ing of files using windows explorer. I finaly hit one folder, and each time I tried to open the img folder in it (hapening on two folders now, not one), it shuts down IE and locks the laptop. (Paths below)
I even tried to upload by going direct to my server and importing files individually, and again, opening that folder shuts things down (crashes my browser - IE & FF). There is an issue with that folder, or a file in it, I think. Odd, though, as each file type shown is a normal image type, and those same extensions were accepted during uploads of other areas of the install, so I'm stumped.
I have searched for feedback on this issue - found none, hence my post. Either it's just me, or I'm not using the correct terms to surface the issue in the search functionality here. :(
Here is the path to the offending folder...
httpdocs >> wp-includes >> js >> tinymce >> themes >> advanced >> skins >> default >> img
httpdocs >> wp-includes >> js >> tinymce >> themes >> advanced >> skins >> wp_theme >> img
Strangely, the third folder in >> skins>> seems to work just fine when I open it up.
When I double click the img folder, it locks up the transfer and shows me the "Would you like to send this error message to Microsoft" popup.
Doesn't matter if I try FTP-ing in (which worked fine for everything to this point), or if I try to open direct on my dedicated server (where I host 4 other WP blogs (older version)).
Friday night I installed a phpbb set up on another domain I started, no drama with the same ftp process, same laptop, same wireless connection, same dogs sitting next to me snoring, even... ;)...
I have also tried rebooting my laptop, and managing this process with absolutely nothing else turned on or opened - same results, same issues.
