• This plugin will add a bar at the top of your template file with links to the admin sections of WordPress. However it will only add this bar for users that are logged in.

    There is a “template tag” to add to your template, but I explain it all on the post on my site.

    This version will only work properly with WordPress 1.5. For 1.2 read the post. 😉

  • For some reason, this is not working on my new blog here but works fine on my first blog here.
    The only difference is that my first blog uses a modified minimaplus template, which didn’t have a admin login in the sidebar, and the new blog uses the wuhan template that does. I even made sure that I called the wp-admin to double check that I was logged in.
    I’ll check Matt’s site for any other info as well.

    It doesn’t seem to work the the Random Image theme either.

    For some reason, maybe I installed the theme AFTER the plugin, I don’t know, but the line:
    <?php wp_admin_bar(); ?>
    wasn’t in my header template, I added the line, and now have the tool bar. Go figure.
    To be specific, I added just after the body tag

    Update to post above:
    I fixed an error in some unrelated php code on the index, and now my admin bar works fine. Go figure!

    Attempts to access the mattread.com site to download plugin fail on Nov 14th, 2005. DNS error. Attempts to ping successful, but http access to IP results in generic cPanel page. Pls. advise when site will be back online, or where I can download plugin. Thanks.

    It must be in the process of being fixed. There is no DNS error, but all of the pages are blank. You should be able to download the file from here: http://mattread.com/wp-content/dropbox/wp-admin-bar-2.zip
