    Perhaps it's a plugin that doesn't work with 2.7?

It's not a plugin issue. It's happened to me too and am looking for the fix now.

    It works now.

I had to delete http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/ozh-admin-drop-down-menu/ from my plugin folder.

Hey Craig, it wasn't OZH as much as it's any pre-2.7 menu system like LighterMenus. Also, I added OZH 2.7 and it works fine.

Had a similar problem myself and found a solution here: http://wordpress.org/support/topic/224057?replies=3

I've a weird problem. After I upgraded from v.2.7 to v.2.7.1, the dashboard became at the top instead of at the side.

Anybody has the same problem? Any solution, pls?

Ok, i found the solution after reading some other posts.

I relooked into all the plugins I've installed. there's one called "admin-menu" which gives you drop-down menu feature. It's installed long before my upgrade to v2.7.1.

Well, I deactivated it and the navigation menu changed from top to side. Hope this helps those who're facing similar problem as me.
