   WordPress Version 2.7 is released and ready to be downloaded. Read the Version 2.7 "Coltrane" Development Blog for details.

   Download WordPress 2.7 at:
   http://wordpress.org/download/ or at http://wordpress.org/download/release-archive/

   Remember to deactivate ALL plugins before doing the upgrade.

   Upgrading WordPress or Upgrading WordPress Extended explain the upgrade process.

   Check for Plugin Compatibility and Theme Compatibility

   Also read Migrating Plugins and Themes to 2.7 and
   Version 2.7 details

   Important Note: Even though you may have heard about the 2.7 automatic upgrade, that automatic upgrade will only work once 2.7 is installed and a later version, such as 2.7.1 is released.

   Note: Don't use an automatic upgrade plugin. Do it manually.

   If you have the old automatic upgrade plugin, deactivate and remove it, as it is no longer compatible with WordPress 2.7. WP 2.7 has its own automatic upgrade functionality which causes a conflict.
