2.7 image resizing problems

Hi!

I’m a fairly new WP user, so forgive me if this is a lame question.

Upgraded to the newest version and for some reason it’s not automatically compressing my posted images. The flash uploader isn’t working now either, so maybe that’s why and I just have to upgrade my flash? Anyhow it’s a big pain to have to manually re-size all of my images in photoshop before posting them. Especially when it worked so beautifully before. I also tried changing the max pixels for media size to 515, but if I upload an image that’s larger than 515px, it still won’t compress it to fit.

I keep reading about disabling plug-ins, so maybe there’s something I should try there?
