   I am hosting wordpress on my own site and took a customized theme to re-customize.

   What I am looking to accomplish is have a dynamic drop-down under the month. (like a switch-menu call)
   When you either click on the Archive year, or put a clickable icon next to it, it will show the titles instead of going to an entirely new page.

   Can I edit code to do this, or do I need a widget?

   Any help or pointing me in the right direction is greatly appreciated.
