   Hey all -

   I'm building a Twitter-esque theme for my family to use (mostly tech laymens), and I really like the thought of having the "post content" box that generally appears in the "Dashboard" above the actual main page of the blog -- kind of like it appears on Twitter. That way, once they log in, they will be able to see their previous posts, all lined up as usual, but they can also type and post a new blog post right there on the same page, without going to the Dashboard. Unlike Twitter, I'd like to keep the full functionality of the posting box (links, embed video, photos, etc.)

   My main question is, is it feasible to more or less "combine" the post text editor from the dashboard onto the main page?

   Actually, I noticed P2 earlier today -- it's a great theme, and it's actually what got me interested in this sort of functionality. I'd like to create my own for various reasons. In particular, how would I make the content entry box more functional? With the easy-to-post content tools (videos, pictures, etc) that are available in the actual Dashboard text editor?

   You can add the post form to any theme if you wish to create your own Twitter style theme. See: http://themeshaper.com/how-to-add-prologue-posting-to-your-wordpress-theme/

   Also, you can look at using the original Prologue theme and try this hack to add the tinyMCE post editor: http://themeshaper.com/how-to-add-prologue-posting-to-your-wordpress-theme/
