I am currently using cforms and it is a great plugin. But with each version it gets more complex adds a much of tools I don't need.
The great thing about cforms is that you can track all the past contacts.
Does contact form 7 also allow this?

CF7 has simplicity in mind. Actually in order to preserve this philosophy, the developer simply rejects any feature offending the simplicity of the plugin.
