Show New Posts?

    Hi there. I’ve searched around but can’t seem to find anything regarding this so I thought I’d ask here.

    What I’d like to do is have a little text or image that says “new” beside categories that have had a new post posted in them in say the last week. Is something like this possible?

    First, where are these category displays located? beneath each post? – the list for that one post

    In the sidebar – list of all categories?

    Hi

    Yes, it can be done but it would require custom code. You have to select all posts published in the last week, recording their categories. Then create a sidebar list of categories, adding a class to those found in the “selected posts” lookup. When displayed, the CSS adds an image next to the ones in the “new” class. Unfortunately I don’t have time to work that out for you right now, sorry. Sounds useful.
