is there anyway to import links to the links admin other than the oplm deal? Don't have oplm files here, not sure how to make em, but I got about 100 links to enter and I don't want to do em all 1 at a time!

YES! that's 2 major things I needed for my WP install, now if I can just get my recent posts list to use the permalinks structure( this thread ), and figure out how to get my links to show how I want ( this thread ) my life will be complete!

Can someone explain what to do with the script Kafkaesqui linked to?

Sorry, newbie here. It went right over my head.

Does anyone know what to do with the links2wp.php?

It says "Run in directory with wp-blog-header.php and 'links.txt'." I put it in the root directory with the text file of links and navigated to it in a browser. It returns a 404 error page.

    What does "run it" mean?

Put it in the directory that contains the blog header and link to it means... http://yoursite/WPlocation/links2wp.php that sounds about what you wrote - unless WP is not in your root directory.

Yes, my test WP is in the "root" of my local host. The links2wp.php and header.php are in the same WP directory along with the text file.

It doesn't work. I put in the URL http://my-computer.local/wordpress/links2wp.php and absolutely nothing happens in WP. All I get is an error page.

For such an otherwise elegant application, importing links into Wordpress is extraordinarily difficult.

Yeah, it won't make my dinner, either. Without a link I think we are done here.
