   Hello out there,

   I just started my blog and added one post. That's all that it has on it has so far (I just didn't get to writting more articles). I would like the post to be displayed so that only the first few words are displayed and at the end of these words, there's a [...]. And when the viewer clicks on its permalink, the whole article is displayed.

   right now, it's being displayed with the first few words, and then the whole article. So it's as if it's duplicating the first few words.

   How can I stop this and get it to work the way I want?

   Does that mean you are using both the_excerpt() and the_content() in your theme?

   Right now, it looks like I'm just using the_content() in my theme. Although I'm a computer programmer, I don't know anything about PHP scripting. It looks like there's another language here for me to learn.

   I looked at the link you gave me and thats helping out a lot. Thank you very much.
