Is it possible to have too many posts?

    We’re having weird performance issues lately – site slowing to a crawl, several times a day. We’re exploring what it could be, but I’m wondering if it’s possible that we have too many posts – currently approaching 100,000. Is there an upper limit to the number of posts WP/MySQL can handle from a performance standpoint?
