How to set up author profiles linked from blog homepage?

Hi,

My developer is setting up a blog here http://www.renewableenergyjobs.com/blog

What I have asked him to do is to set up a heading for blog authors with the authors names listed under it, each name linking to their profile/bio which in turn can link to a list of their blog postings.

We have not managed to work out how this can be achieved.

So far the only options we can come up with are the authors name linked to their postings / the authors picture and name linked to their postings or one link ‘authors’ which then links to another page which we can then link to profiles.

Can anyone please help by suggesting how we might set this up so that we might have a link to every authors profile from the home page in a list?
