   I'm looking for a plugin that will allow me to make announcements to the authors and editors of the collaborative blog I have created. Something that will allow me to show users a message on the dashboard when they have logged in to post something to the site. Is there something that will allow me to do this?

   Not sure but look at http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-private-messages/
