This is the second time I've done an installation of wordlress on my local server (localhost). The admin was successfully installed and I can view it. However, every time I try to view the actual site I just end up viewing my wordpress folder directory structure. When I try to click index.php on the main folder of wordpress, it shows the structure again. Any ideas on how to make this work?

You'll want to configure your web server to treat index.php as a default file.

I looked up your post and I found out that there are similar topics to this. I'm sorry for the redundant question. Regardless, for those who will encounter the same problem I had, the way to fix it can be found in this link.
