RSS Problem, Feedburner says its invalid, but feedvalidator says it is (14 posts)

I recently created a site http://www.worldsoccerreader.com, the RSS feed appears fine in browsers but when I try and "burn" it with feedburner it says "read timed out". It then asks me to check it if its valid with feedvalidator(http://beta.feedvalidator.org/), which say its valid. This is a big problem for me and I need to solved very soon. The feed URL i've used is http://www.worldsoccerreader.com/feed, i've also tried /feed/rss, any help would be appreciate it. I also have a built in RSS ticker which is mean't to use the RSS feed to show a headline ticker, it doesn't work with my feed either.

    Hi

I haven't tried this one myself, and its actually for when Feedburner says the feed has errors rather than just timing out. But take a look and see if it makes sense to try it.

I tried the fix rss feed plugin, no change unfortunately, this is becoming a big problem. I also just updated to 2.7.1 and that made no difference.

    Read this

and search Google and the WP forum for that specific error message if that post doesn't address your specific issue

I had a related posts plugin which I also read somewhere could be the problem, I deactivated it and there is still no change. The feed remains valid according to feedvalidator but feedburner keeps giving me the same error. I should mention this is a addon domain, could the problem be on the servers side? Maybe a setting isn't configured correctly. I've changed my theme, deactivated all my plugins, no changes.

Its unlikely to be a server problem since the site and feed work fine with everyone but Feedburner. You need to search for more articles/posts on that specific error message. I've already suggested everything I know within my experiences, which are not vast with RSS.

Also - post on the Google Groups Feedburner group - and search there also.

I appreciate the help stvwlf, I've searched all over the google groups feedburner group, it seems to be completely dead. There are some similar posts from several months back that haven't received even a single reply. I'm on a very tight schedule so I don't have the time to wait months for this, thanks anyways.

I am having the same problem. I have come to the conclusion that FeedBurner is horrible. Zero support and no responses to questions. Is there an alternative anywhere?

I also have the same problem. FeedBurner return "An error occurred connecting to the URL: Read timed out" but FEED Validator return no error.

FeedBurner Google Group don't help. Disabling plugins - don't work.

I am also experiencing the same problem. Any 'changes' I try to make in the feedburner control panel prompts the previously discussed error message. But as far as my readers are concerned, the feed seems to be functional. So weird.

Error: An error occurred connecting to the URL: Read timed out

I keep getting this error too and cannot make any changes/additions to my feedburner settings. I don't know where to go from here to seek help!

Hey i am into the same situation.
    using 2.8.2
tested deactivating plugin n theme, no luck.

    feed validator returns no error.

as we all facing same issue it is definetly some issue with FeedBurner itself....
