   I just got hit this morning by some comment spam, which is the first time I've had spam since upgrading to the new version. I was unsure if I should just delete the comments or mark them as spam. If I mark them as spam, are they automatically deleted from WP? Is anything else done when they are marked as spam? Like are the words added to the "blacklist," etc.?

   Is there anywhere I can read up on the new anti-spam features of WP in depth?

   I'm probably as much of a n00b as anyone here, so it's the blind leading the blind, but I have found that both the Spam Karma and Referrer Karma plugins together have eliminated all forms of spammy threats to my fledgling blog.

   I believe the following thread:

   Will give you more than enough info to decide what you want and implement it.
