Need help with ad placement in sidebar

    I have two ads placed in my sidebar but they are scrunched up close and personal to my text. How do I get them centered. I’ve played around with CSS but to no avail. Another newbie in distress! Thanks.

    The first ad is just plain too big for your current sidebar. Your sidebar is 190 pixels wide whilst the Hostgator ad is 220 pixels wide. So the choices are:

    1. Make the ad smaller
    or
    2. Make your sidebar wider which would mean you’d have to make the content area of the page about 50px narrower.

    Have you used Text Widgets to place these ads in your sidebar? What markup/code were you given for each?

    Thanks for looking. No I didn’t use widgets. When I subscribed to the Hostgator ad, I simply had to copy the html into my page. The same with the Google ad. Maybe I can delete these and start over. Thanks for your help.
