Pic from post to thumbnail with excerpt?

    I’ve been looking all night for a simple way to take the first pic WP finds in a post and make it into a thumbnail for the front page excerpts.

    I found Get The Image, but can’t seem to get it working as I’m pretty new to WP.

    Any suggestions?
