   I started counting at 1 1000 and got up to 1 8000 or 8 seconds for it to load all of the content. I have 6 mb download speeds with Comcast so yes it might be a tad to slow. I am not sure if it is the videos or some other content. The blog looks nice though. Good job!!

   It might be the videos then or the amount of pictures on the page.

    it loads okay. Look into using the WP Super Cache plugin if you aren't already.
    And try webwait, for an idea of your site's loading speed.

    What's the size of the images in the header - if they're over 60kb - try reducing them (compressing) to no more than that.

    Nice job.

    That's way too big - make copies of the originals and use the copies to compress the file size. Really. It will help. Don't re-compress what's up there though. Unless that's all you have. In that case, make copies from them. Then re-compress.

    Any Paint program will 'save as' jpg and asks the compression - high, medium, low etc. - some paint programs offer an export to web dialogue. ( But make copies. Don't want you to ruin originals)
