post cuts off at special characters

I am trying to update my site http://www.canaanite.org from its html version to wordpress.

The problem is that I am unable to copy and paste the original page that contains the Phoenician characters, which are Unicode characters, the page cuts off when I publish it, exactly before the first Phoenician letter it encounters.

You can try to copy and paste the text from the original page into one of your pages, and see for yourself.

I need help here. Would there be a workaround? or is there a more complex editor that I can use to enter text? Is it an editor issue, or a wordpress issue?
