    Hi Friends...

I've upgraded my secondary site to 2.7 and I have that "header already sent" problem that many people have - however mine is a bit different. It's not originating in the wp.config file. I've double-checked there are no spaces in the file and anyway the error message bears this out.

When I login, I get this message at the top of the page, and then when I enter my name and password I get a blank page with the same messages:

<blockquote>Warning: call_user_func_array() [function.call-user-func-array]: First argumented is expected to be a valid callback, '_show_post_preview' was given in /home/ennojaco/public_html/cupofjacksquat.com/wp-includes/plugin.php on line 311

I've re-installed. Same problem. I had already disabled the plugins before I started the process. I erased the folders of the themes I was using in case there was some compatibility issue. Same messages. I've erased the plugins that were not part of the wordpress folder. No change. I know from reading the forums that just because line 311 is called out - it doesn't mean that the problem resides there - that's the line that's feeling the consequences of a problem on another line. The problem is I can't figure out what line I need to fix and how to fix it.

Can any of you wizards give me some advice?

    Much appreciated,
    Kristina

A couple of things you may try:

    1. Change to the default theme.

    2. Make sure all of the plugins are actually deactiveated in the db. See the following video for how to do that.

    http://educhalk.org/blog/?p=38

If that doesn't do it, then there could be something in your options table that was left over from a plugin. You would really just need to look at the records in that table to see if anything looks "out of place"...I realize that could be tough if you're not familiar with that table.

Hmmmm...I'm going to give option #1 a try first (looks like the easiest!) But do you have any suggestions how I can actually change the theme since I can't get into my admin panel? All I can do is log in.

Thanks so much for your response and help.

    Cheers,
    Kristina

Yea, but 1 is "probably" not the problem...you should give 2 a try.

Well it's definitely not that the plugins are turned on.

And I've erased the theme I was using...but I can't connect to the default theme cause I can't get into my admin panel.

Here's my question - if I have installed all new files, including the options.php file located in the wp-admin folder, then how is there something "in my options table that was left over from a plug in?"

Also - my original warning message says that it is a user-fun-array problem (I don't know what that is) and it's talking about the plugin.php file in my wp-includes folder.

Does this mean the problem is generated from something within my wp-includes folder, or that the problem is expressing itself there?

    Thanks for your input,
    Kristina

One thing you are not doing right:

    http://cupofjacksquat.com/wp-includes/

there should NOT be any old files left over. see the versions.php, for instance??

see the timestamp? its old, its a give-away. that means you didnt upgrade that file.

remove everything in that dir. Upload the new files. there should NOT be any files leftover with old timestamps.

noticeably, the file referenced in the error above is an older file.

    problem solved, I bet.

    WOOOT!!!

You fixed it Whooami!!! Thank you thank you thank you. I could have sworn that I replaced every single file in wp-includes folder, one at a time. But I must have missed something.

Thanks to both you and Figaro for taking the time to help me. I so do very much appreciate it.

    Hugs,
    Kristina
