   rather than hijacking this old thread, I thought I'd start a new one.

   I have an installation of WP 2.7.1 - it's on my localhost, so I cannot link to it. I have deactivated ALL plugins - the only one activated is NextGen (1.2.1). I meet (mostly exceed) the requirements for a NextGen installation. I have the JW Image Rotator (3.1.7) installed. And finally, I'm running the default theme with no modifications to it.

   however using this in my Page (spaces are removed at the beginning and end brackets):

   [ slideshow id=1 w=536 h=303 ]

   results in the code being output, but no images are displaying.

   I can use the other gallery versions (like the thumbnail gallery, etc.) and the images show just fine - but the slideshow (which is what I need) shows the box, but it's blank.

   if it helps, I'm running MAMP on OSX, PHP 5, but my localhost installation is brought about by IP (rather than "localhost").

   Any ideas?

   Got it!

   Okay - figured it out. Basically, my localhost wasn't putting in the full HTTP path to the imagerotator.swf file - once I did that, it worked just fine.

   FULL PATH - not relative! (it suggests "wp-content/uploads" as the default, when it *should* be "http://localhost/wp-content/plugins/nextgen-gallery/imagerotator.swf")
