    what does this mean:

Warning: filemtime() [function.filemtime]: open_basedir restriction in effect. File(/home/c/f/cfcnetcms/public_html/sitemap.xml) is not within the allowed path(s):(/home/clubcfcn:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php:/tmp) in /home/clubcfcn/public_html/cfcnet/wp-content/plugins/google-sitemap-generator/sitemap-ui.php on line 599

I'm having the same error and would also like to know of a solution. Currently the plugin is not generating sitemap.xml. For some reason this is only happening on one of my sites and not the others.

my error was caused by not having the right permissions set on certain folders.

Right! So, how do you modify the permissions from shell access? What are the commands?

Nevermind... I figured it out. Also it turns out that I needed to change permissions on the XSL file as well as the XML one. That threw me off but once I did it, it worked!

The .xsl file doesn't need to be writable since it only contains the styling information and is not modified by the plugin :-)
