I haven't added this widget, but it is already on the sidebar. It is the Meta with the login, site admin, wordpress, valid xhtml, and xfn. I have tried removing these form the sidebar, but when I do, it makes all my other stuff such as pages, categories and archives disappear and creates an error. I have searched for a way to fix this, but I haven't found anything. Thanks for you help.

You need to edit your side bar file - probably the file called sidebar.php - to remove the markup/code that is generating the Meta information. If you've tried this already and the editing has caused errors, the chances are that you're taking out too much (or too little code). I'd need to see your sidebar code before I could give you a better idea of exactly what to remove (and what to leave in).
