    Is it , or would it be, possible to set noindex and disallow in robot.txt for all posts in selected categories?

    If you're using friendly links it would be.

    User-agent: *
    Disallow: /category1
    Disallow: /category2
    Disallow: /category3
    Disallow: /category4
